And Why Anyone Should Care What I Think
First off, I must confess that I have had my thinking skills warped – I am an ENGINEER! I never realized how much an engineering degree would change how I view the world but it certainly has done that. I’m very results driven and I automatically start applying logic to a problem. The Hubby is also an engineer so it’s common for us to sketch out a decision matrix when we face a problem. It works for us. We just celebrated our 40th anniversary so we are doing something right. Our daughter thinks we are a bit odd, but she only shakes her head when we start analyzing problems.
My engineering background profoundly changed my approach to life, but the biggest change in my attitude came when I became a dedicated Christian. I was raised a fundamentalist atheist, a daughter in a atheist, Marxist family so my belief structure is profoundly different from where I started life.
I learned the hard way that I couldn’t do it all myself – I need Jesus! I feel utterly blessed to have the Holy Spirit guide me. I try to seek God’s will in my life and to dedicate my time to Him. Jesus is my King and Savior.
I truly believe it is time for us to seek Jesus and learn his Word. His truth is a guiding light. It is time for Americans to return to the Christian principles that made us exceptional.
